"Semantics," Derek shoots back with a smile, but he lets his teasing end there. For now, at least. Along with the scent of sweat and come, Derek smells happiness. There had been such a cloud over Bitty for so long, always smelling of anxiety and pain, but it's lessened over the past month and Derek couldn't be more relieved.

"I'm happy for you," he says after a moment, smiling fondly at Bitty before he lets his expression go neutral and teasing once more. "I mean, if he hurts you I'll rip his throat out, but I'm happy for you."
