"I knew that would get your attention," Derek says with an amused smile, nodding in response to his questions and standing up. "There are potatoes and carrots in with the roast, and if you come home with me right now, I promise that I'll make you garlic bread."

He goes over to grab Barry's jacket while reaching into his own pocket with his free hand, turning to hold out both Barry's coat and a protein bar. He's started carrying them around even more since he and Barry started dating, and it's come in handy more than once. "You left me to my own devices too long. I have a whole thing planned."
