Barry trails behind Derek, munching on his protein bar as they navigate the precinct. He catches more than one pair of eyes on Derek, and Barry smiles to himself, shrugging as if to say that no, he has no idea how this is his life, either.

When they step into the night, Barry relaxes against Derek's arm. "A surprise, huh?" He grins. "I bet I can guess some of it."
