He gets up and stretches his arms over his head, revealing a strip of skin that's gone pale with the winter gloom, and brushes some needles aside with his foot. "I'll go get some more wood for the fire."
Barry is still a little pouty, so Derek leans over to hook a finger under his chin. "Lock Jinx in he bathroom and I'll do my best to turn that frown upside down."
He winks and then goes out into the cold, plucking a few pieces of wood from the stack and then heading back in quickly. A shiver runs through him and he sets the logs down by the door, brushing dirt from his shirt and looking over at Barry with a raised eyebrow.
