Despite his best efforts, Derek goes through clothes at a much faster rate than he'd like. It's a problem shared by all werewolves, he imagines. Especially the full shift ones. How he's managed to hang on to his wallet and keys without losing them, he'll never know.

His unique predicament means that he has to go shopping more often than he'd like. He's running low on shirts that are free of rips and stains, same goes for his jeans, so he heads out to replenish his stock. He hates the mall and department stores, so he finds himself at an independent shop somewhere downtown. It costs a little more, but it's worth it not to deal with the crowds.

He has a few shirts and pants slung over one arm and he's fingering the lapel of a dinner jacket, wondering whether or not he needs more formal clothes. He doesn't wear them often, but the restaurant opening is coming up soon and he wants to throw a party for it. Derek Hale, willingly wanting to throw a party and invite people into his space. If only the people from Beacon Hills could see him now.

The door opens and Derek catches the scent of another werewolf immediately. Instinctively, he goes a little tense until he quickly realizes that's it's one that he recognizes. He spins slowly on his heel and raises an eyebrow at Biffy. "Fancy meeting you here."

"Fancy indeed," Biffy said, holding up the jacket he was considering. It was a very nicely-made garment indeed, though with perhaps a little more flair and uniqueness than could be found at his own store. Biffy took pride in working at Bardolf's and the clothes they produced but even he was prone to whimsy, especially when Darrow seemed to have a party practically every week.

"What do you think?" he asked, lifting the jacket up and down for Derek's opinion, he gesture revealing the baby stroller parked just behind him with Robin sleeping inside.

"Someday, I'm going to find all the clothes you've hidden in the trees and replace them with something more stylish," Biffy warned with a smile. While he did occasionally borrow and then return a cache of Derek's, he knew better than to pull the same tricks he did with Sam's clothes. It was one thing to do it as a friendly (if perhaps pushy) gesture between friends and to do so as a motion between alphas.

At any rate, he thought virtuously, although everyone looked better in proper tailoring, Derek was stunning enough on his own.

"And of course," Biffy said. He took a step back to fold the blanket so that Derek could see better. "Best not to wake him, I'm afraid, but he'll come 'round presently on his own."

Biffy gave Derek a terribly pained look that was only half facetious about such a statement. "Style always matters," he said with such absolute gravity that Derek had to know, in this case, he was joking.

"And yes, absolutely human," Biffy said. He paused as Robin stirred, opening one eye and then deciding he would very much like to be awake with a new person to examine. He was a curious little chap and Biffy was glad he'd be able to keep up with supernatural speed. "It's rather a strange story."

Whether by nature of being a baby or by spending all of his time now with shapeshifters, Robin didn't seem to find anything particularly objectionable and grabbed on to the offered finger curiously.

"Let's find a place to sit down and I'll tell you all about it," Biffy suggested. He put the jacket back on the rack and decided he needed to mull it over. If he came back tomorrow and it was still there, then it was meant to be. The jacket that Derek had been considering, however... "After you buy that jacket."

"It will need tailoring," Biffy said, even though he knew it to likely be a lost cause. Shameful really. Someone with a physique like Derek's ought not be hidden in bad tailoring. Still, one had to try.

He waved and steered Robin's buggy toward the door, nodding as Derek approached. "No, not yet. Any place you would suggest?" Biffy was being a little coy, of course. He and Derek didn't talk as often as they did but werewolves were terrible gossips and he knew that the food truck was on its way to bigger and better.

"It could fit better," he replied promptly, returning Derek's knowing look with one of his own. "And is that so? All the gossip says that the opening will be an absolute who's who." It was not an accurate impression of Lord Akeldama but Biffy was not born to speak in fluent Italics like his former master.

"Do you hear that Robin?" he asked, bending down with Derek. The baby looked up at them, very seriously gnawing on his own fist. "What do you think of hamburgers?"

Biffy chuckled and spent a moment casting a considering look between Derek and Robin. "I'm not sure he'll be able to eat one of your burgers," Biffy said, very proud of himself for holding a straight face. "His digestive capabilities notwithstanding, I've seen you make them in only two sizes. Proportional to Robin's entire torso and then bigger."

It was an exaggeration, but only slightly.
