Patrick knows that nothing he's experienced could compare with that. He gives Derek a sympathetic look, reaching out to squeeze David's hand to encourage him to order all the ribs they possibly can, wishing more than ever that he had something that would help Derek get drunk.

He doesn't, though, and he'll have to live with that.
