"So I've just... gone backwards and lost an entire decade?" Derek asks with a confused frown. After a moment he lets out a huge teenage sigh and runs his fingers through his hair, shaking his head a little. It's unfathomable to him that he's a full-grown adult living in some strange city without his family, in a cabin all by himself with a cat.
"I appreciate your help," Derek says after a moment, looking up at him and giving him a flicker of a smile. "You know, in case I forget to say it later."
He stands up and looks around the apartment curiously, sniffing the air a bit and then looking over his shoulder at Luke. He really is so grateful for the alpha's presence, because he has no idea what he would do otherwise. "Well, I guess I studied all that Trig for nothing. I wonder if I passed the test."
There are books everywhere and Derek peers curiously at the titles. "So, what else should I know about me?
