Thomas said nothing for several seconds. His expression remained blank, stoic. Honestly, he wasn't sure how to react. Not yet. He can tell that Derek is absolutely serious and, even if he wasn't, Thomas would have been a little ticked if he'd joked around like that.

But, he knew Derek wasn't joking. Thomas swallowed and straightened up, moving his body because the right words were escaping him right now. He didn't run away though.

"H - how did that even happen?" he stammered, peering closely at Derek like he'd be able to see the wolf side just by that. "Did someone make you this way? Did WICKED?"

Suspicion. It reared up and grabbed Thomas by the back of the neck, shaking him like that might help him see what this was, what kind of Trial he was in.
