"Shuck me," Thomas whispered, sound both awed and shocked all at once. Seeing the change actually happening in front of him leaves him wide eyed and open mouthed, breath puffing out in short, stilted exhales.

Thomas wondered if it hurt, how Derek was changing. He wondered how someone could be born like this and not created. And he wondered if Derek was telling the truth when he'd told Thomas that he wasn't going to hurt him.

Thomas swallowed again and steadied himself, hands at his sides and eyes glued to Derek's transformation.
