If it's at all possible, Thomas's eyes widened even further. He can't help but think of the Grievers and the disgusting arms that grew from their blubbery bodies. The difference is that he'd never seen the Grievers change. They'd just been grotesque masses of rippling flesh, hell bent on killing anyone they came into contact with.
