Thomas didn't pull his foot back either. He kept it right there, letting the warmth inch up his leg and spread into his blood. Before the city, the few times he'd felt like that had been with Teresa in the Deadheads, sitting and talking quietly to each other while ignoring their harsh surroundings. He'd felt like that when laying beside Chuck at night, listening to his friend chatter on about everything and nothing.
