"I don't know, some good came of it," Thomas said, opening the sandwich and taking a bite. "I got a lot of sleep and watched television I wouldn't have otherwise watched. Some of things I watched were even halfway decent."

Most of the time, he'd just been bored. He'd wanted to go outside, go run and climb, but the thought of Cranks appearing had kept him in. The fear had all been in his head but it had taken time to convince himself completely that this place wasn't the other Darrow and he wasn't going to be assaulted with his worst nightmare if he ventured outside.
