"You make pizza sound like such a terrible thing," Thomas said, glancing over and shaking his head. "It's got meat, vegetables and dairy products. It's a well balanced meal that just happens to be topped with things that maybe I shouldn't eat all the time."

It had been a good meal, though. Thomas didn't remember ever seeing as much food as he had and he felt both grateful and selfish all at once. He couldn't stop thinking about his friends in the Scorch, maybe starving, maybe dead while he ate enough food for all of them.

"It was all good," he complimented. "All of it. I've never seen so much food."
