"You and Neil are the only ones who have said they want to be pack," Derek reminds him. He has friends that care for him deeply, but they haven't declared themselves as pack. And that's okay, Derek doesn't expect them to. He'll care for them just the same.
Derek listens as Bitty speaks, as he rambles really, and his throat constricts a little at the words. They're so kind, so Bitty, and he finds himself smiling. Bitty's obviously a little more than tipsy, but Derek knows that he means what he says. Most, if not all of it.
