"No one else even came to mind," Derek assures him, smiling fondly. "I'm glad that you were there."

He looks around and decides that there isn't any real reason for him to linger, and he leans in to press a soft kiss to Bitty's forehead. "Get some rest. I'll see you later."

With that, he heads out of the apartment, and back out into the cold.

But at least he's smiling.
