"Luke?" she echoes, wrinkling her nose, because the name sounds familiar, but it takes her a second to place it. And she almost says, oh, hot bookstore guy, but at the last second she stops herself, because she hadn't realized that Mindy's hot bookstore guy and Derek were friends. Which maybe makes it better that the whole date thing didn't work out, because she's not sure Derek knows his friend was banging the woman she just tried to set him up with.

"He's friends with Danny," she says after a moment, which is true enough. "But, yeah, Newt's okay. He was super disgruntled, but he's okay. I wish I could find some kind of... anti-vampire thing or something. I hate the idea that we can't just walk outside, not because we might get mugged, but because we might get chewed on."
